City Council

The City Council serves as the legislative branch of the City of Sullivan government, acting for the residents of Sullivan by making laws, managing financial resources, and providing oversight of city operations.

What the Council Does

  • Proposes, debates and passes ordinances and resolutions that govern city activities and services.

  • Approves the city’s budget, monitors expenditures and ensures fiscal accountability.

  • Serves as a critical link between citizens and their government—listening to resident concerns, representing neighborhood interests and fostering local input.

Meetings & Participation

Council meetings are open to the public and typically held monthly. Residents are encouraged to attend, in person or virtually, and provide input at the designated public comment period.
