Street Department

Welcome to the City of Sullivan Street Department. Our team is committed to maintaining and improving the city’s streets, sidewalks, and public right-of-ways - year-round. From routine pavement repairs to winter snow-plowing and leaf-collection in the fall, we strive to keep our community’s infrastructure safe, reliable, and visually well-kept. We appreciate the cooperation of residents and businesses as we work together to enhance the mobility and appearance of Sullivan’s public roadways.

Chris Levingston serves as the Superintendent of the City Street Department for the City of Sullivan. Tips & Recommendations for Residents

To help the Street Department serve you better, here are some helpful suggestions:

  • Report issues early. If you see damaged signs, clogged gutters, potholes, or blocked storm drains, let us know so we can respond promptly.

  • Stay seasonal-ready. In winter, avoid parking on marked plow routes or along streets during snow-removal operations. In fall, keep leaves from piling in gutters or drains.

  • Know the service boundaries. Some services (like mowing or limb removal) cover City-maintained areas only; if your property is private or along unincorporated roads, check with your provider.

  • Stay informed. Check the website or City social-media for weather alerts, paving schedules, and cleanup notices (for example, City-wide cleanup events)
