City Park & City Pool

 

Welcome to the City Park and City Pool webpage. We are happy to have you visit our site and learn more about what our facilities have to offer. We look forward to seeing you soon at the Park and Pool, and we hope you have a fun and relaxing experience.

Cody Mckinley is the Superintendent of the City Park of Sullivan

and supervises the park's operation and maintenance staff. The Superintendent is appointed by the Mayor, and Cody does a

fantastic job of creating a great place for recreation for our citizens and visitors.

 

The City Park of Sullivan covers approximately 50 acres of beautiful, well-maintained green space. The entrance is located in the 600 block of South Main Street, just six blocks south of the Downtown City Court House Square.

 

The Park is open to the public year around from 8:00 AM until 9:00 PM. You can receive information about the City Park by calling City Hall at phone number 812-268-6077. Feel free to call or visit City Hall to get information about how to reserve the shelter houses for your events.

In addition to lovely, tree-filled acres for walking and for just enjoying the health benefits of being out of doors, our City Park has a lot to offer including:

 

  • An outdoor stage

  • Picnic tables throughout the Park

  • Playground equipment and areas for all ages

  • Tennis courts

  • Soccer fields*

  • Softball fields*

  • Football fields*

  • Basketball court

  • Pickleball court

  • Public restrooms

  • Enclosed shelter house building

  • Open shelter houses

  • The City Swimming Pool Complex
